Alliance Wales is an all-party association of local authorities representing the industrial areas of Wales
Alliance Wales works to engage with politicians and policy makers in Cardiff Bay and stakeholders from further afield to protect and advance the interests of Wales’ industrial communities.
Part of the GB-wide body, Alliance Wales works closely with Alliance members and officers from other parts of Britain.

✓ Continuing Alliance Wales’ long-standing campaign for the electrification of the GWR line to Swansea.
✓ Calling on the Welsh Government to capitalise on the £800m investment in the A465 Heads of the Valleys road, which the Welsh Government has responded to with a dedicated Heads of Valleys development strategy.
✓ Making representations to the Welsh Government on the financial challenges facing the Open University, a valued route to skills development for many people in poorer, more isolated communities.
✓ Articulating the Alliance’s national campaign on post-Brexit regional policy in a Welsh context.
✓ Alliance Wales supports the Cross-Party Group on Industrial Communities in the National Assembly for Wales, which aims to support industry and regeneration through influencing policy.
